Aransas Wildlife Refuge is probably best known for being the winter home of the largest wild flock of endangered whooping cranes. Yes, we saw a pair, but they were only specks in a field... I could show you a picture of a white speck in a field, but I won't.

But it's still a wonderful place to visit because there are a lot of other plants and animals to enjoy.
