The goal of this blog is to tell stories about ancestors of Judith Klamm Nicholls. Yes, I have a tree with hundreds of people in it, but what I want to share here are their stories, put them in historical context, and try to bring them to life.
My paternal grandparents are John Phillip Klamm and Elizabeth Susanna Brenner. They are of German ancestry descended from people who immigrated from Germany to Platte County in the 1840s. My maternal grandparents are Samuel Anderson and Dessie Ellen Kimsey. Their ancestors came to Platte County from Colonial Virginia, hence I am calling them Southerners. Most of them are believed to have arrived in America from what we now call the United Kingdom in the late 1600s or early 1700s.
If you are a cousin, you will have only part of this tree in common with me, but I hope you find the stories interesting nonetheless… and inspire you to look into your ancestors that we do not have in common..
