Again, we seem to have a George Daugherty in Pennsylvania, often attached to our Michael Daugherty II, who lived in Virginia, having a George born in Pennsylvania in 1750. Is this George Daughtery the Pennsylvania war hero?

This story does not give the parents of James Daugherty but one of the author's grandmotehr was a Cunningham which would fit and a child had a middle name Cunningham.
BUT this family calls itself Magill!
Geneanet tree has the 1747 James son of Charles marrying a Rebecca with a different set of children than the 1737 family.

I cannot find a 1775 will for a James Cunningham

Magill says Margaret's father was James Daugherty and her mother Rebecca Cunningham, her marriage record suggests her father is William. Of course he could be a William James or a James William... But Sarah's marriage record says her father was James and mother Rebecca. It does not say William is her father, but that he and Magill enter into an agreement...
James would be confirmed by the fact that a grandchild's middle name was Cunningham.
