Warning... Some people claim all these children are in fact children of Rene Chastain, 1612-1703 and Jeanne Marie Laurent 1625-1691. I think Frances Jane and Pierre Jacob are the most suspicious... But Charles Reno when the mother is a Renault?
One such tree and probably an entire book...

Pierre Jacob Chastain
M, #837, b. 1659, d. 1728
It is pretty clear that this Pierre is not the brother of our Mary Ann Chastain. There may have been two Pierre's... The Pierre Chastain Family Association says the other 5 children in this family are NOT related to their Pierre Chastain. There is another distinction in "information"... The Chastain Family Association say he is from Berry. That is true of other Huguenots in my tree, but I also see Nantes as a location for some Chastains and that is not nearby... The origins may not be substantiated by actual fact.
"PCFA." Agee, Bondurant, Fore https://www.pierrechastain.com/PCFA_2021/6-2_Agee_Bondurant_Fore.html. Accessed 16 Nov. 2021.
From their website:
This is their Pierre Chastain:
"The year was 1659 when Pierre Chastain was born in the ancient Province of Berry, in or near the village of Charost, which is almost the geographic center of France. Pierre Chastain was the son of Estienne Chastain and Jeanne Laurent. Pierre's father, Estienne and his grandfather, Jacques Chastain, had both served as notaire royal at Charost. Estienne was born circa 1625, the son of Jacques and Jeanne Audet Chastain. It is thought that Jacques, born circa 1598-1600, was either the son or grandson of the Estienne Chastain who fled the city of Bourges at the time of the Massacre of St. Bartholomew's Day in 1572."
And their comments on this family follow:
Who are Elizabeth Ann, Mary Ann, Judith, and Frances Jane Chastain? As well as Charles Reno and Peter James Chastain . . . we don't know! In the early 1930's Dr. P. M. Agee published a lineage/genealogy text, The Agee Family.
In this publication, in the General Addenda, page 330, Dr. Agee writes:
Data which came to hand after the first part of the Record was printed, and which brings to light in somewhat more detail a few items of the genealogy of Mathieu Agee is given here:
John Francis Chastain, of France married Frances Jane Reno or Regnault, or Renaut, daughter of Charles Reno and wife, Ann.
Issue:
Elizabeth Ann Chastain m. Dr. Joseph Bondurant
Mary Ann Chastain m. Daniel Isaac Fore
Judith Chastain m. Anthony Agee
Charles Reno Chastain, came to Virginia
Frances Jane Chastain m. James Francis Bryant
Capt. Peter James Chastain, came to Virginia
Memo: Much effort has been made to confirm the above in France to no avail. The effort will continue.
