Reuben Ratliff

A Reuben is on some lists and I thought he might be the same person as our John (John Reuben or Reuben John) but a Reuben does exist. On the other hand, the Reuben in people's trees is said to have been born in North Carolina. That's not where John and Charlotte were! On the other hand, a geneanet tree has him born in Tazewell, VA, and dying in 1873 in Kansas City, not Arkansas.
A Reuben Ratcliff married a Sarah Johnson in 1837. This cannot be our John because our John's children were born in Kentucky starting at 1829.

There is another record that names a Reuben Ratliff whose father was John who served in Indiana (I think it reads Ind) and Kentucky (Ky)infantry.
