William Truman
M, #5203, b. before 1665, d. 3 February 1686
Some people write that James Truman came to America only with three daughters, but William Truman names his "cousin" Thomas Trueman Greenfield, daughter of his sister Martha Truman, in his will.
HOWEVER, William is apparently not mentioned in James' 1672 will!
He might be a son of one of James' brothers?
Definition of cousin:
Generally, “cousin” referred to a nephew or niece (often including nephews-in-law or nieces in-law). In the broadest sense, it could mean any familial relationship, blood or otherwise, except for first-degree relationships.

Parents
Family: William Clarke (b. before 23 April 1609, d. after 1 June 1671)
Birth | about 1620 | In Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. |
Marriage | before 1633 | In Grantham, Lincolnshire, England.1 |
Death | before 16472 | |
Misc | | Parents- Surname likely Robson. There is a strong possibility that this Martha was Martha Robson, daughter of John and Anne (Elborough) Robson, who was baptized 15 March 1611/12 in St. Margaret, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and married there one William Clarke on 24 November 1631 (she was a sister of Anne1 (Robson) (Allen) Jewett, wife successively of Bozoun1 Allen and Joseph2 Jewett of Massachusetts; see Robert Battle and Leslie Mahler, “The Identity of Anne, Wife of Bozoun1 Allen of Hingham and Boston, and Joseph2 Jewett of Rowley, Massachusetts,” forthcoming in The American Genealogist). By 1631 William Clarke’s sister Anne1 (Clarke) Woodmansey had been living in King’s Lynn for four years and would doubtless have been acquainted with the Robson family there, being of the same general social status.3,4 |
