John Neild

M, #5294, b. about 1660, d. before 18 May 1724
John Neild of Aston died intestate, and letters of administration on his estate, were granted to his widow, Elizabeth, May 18th, 1724. She was married again in that year to William Jefferis, and it appears that she was the daughter of Nathaniel Ring.

Abraham Barlington petitioned the Court representing that John Neild, "a near Relation of this petitioner," died intestate, leaving a wife and four children, and a considerable estate. The children were Elizabeth, John, Jane and Eilas, all minors and the two younger ones born after 1720. It is likely the last wife was much younger than her husband and she survived him many years. Some of her grandchildren by the second marriage are yet living. Jane Neild married John Hannum of Concord, and was the mother of Col. John Hannum of Revolutionary fame.

Elizabeth Vernon

F, #5296, b. 1670, d. 1730
Elizabeth was born about 1670, the daughter of Robert Vernon and Eleanor Minshall. Elizabeth was first married to Nathaniel Ring and had at least 1 son, Nathaniel Ring Jr. [1]. Nathaniel Ring is said to have made his will on September 3, 1712 prior to his death in 1714, where he left his whole estate to his wife, Elizabeth.
She then went on to re-marry George Strode, Sr. who was also possibly a widower himself at the time.
