Robert Tyler, son of Robert and Mary (Wade) Tyler, was born December 5, 1727, in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince Georges County. He married Elinor, the daughter of Robert Bradley, Gent., one-time Justice of the Peace for the county.
On July 9, 1776, he was appointed Colonel of the Upper Battalion of Prince Georges County Militia; and on July 13, he was ordered to march one of his companies to Annapolis "and take Care that they come well armed".

of Judge George Gordon of the Provincial Court.

James R. Kimsey, 59, passed away Tuesday June 10, 2008. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at White Chapel Funeral Home 6600 N. Antioch, Gladstone. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday June 18, 2008 at the chapel. James attended Oak Park High School and was a part of the Class of 1967. He loved to travel the country to attend and participate in Civil War reenactment events. While participating in the Civil War reenactments, James was a member of the Landis and Farris groups. He is preceded in death by his father Galen Kimsey and sister Gail Deane. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Estella Kimsey; sister Betty McCullough and husband Jack; two nephews Jeff Deane and wife Beth and Jim Deane and wife Diana; two great- nephews Tommy and Jake Deane. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.1 |
