Northumberland County Court September 2, 1691
Whereas Mr. JOHN HAYNIE Sr. petitioned this Court that THOMAS HARDING, late of this County, deceased, died intestate leaving an Estate in Lands and Chattels, and had Issue by Mr. HAYNIE'S daughter, deceased also, a son named THOMAS HARDING who has from his birth, being three years since, being sustained by him, and prayed that he might have the guardianship of the said Child. It is therefore ordered that the said Mr. HAYNIE be guardian of the said THOMAS HARDING that he exhibit an Inventory of the said HARDING's Estate to the next Court and enter into bond, with security, to be accountable for the said Estate when the orphan comes of age.

On 22 May 1696, Anne appears in a suit brought by Capt. John Haynie guardian of Thomas Harding Jr. (orphan of Thomas Harding Sr.) against her second husband, Luke Rowland; Anne who was deceased was the administrator of the estate of Thomas Harding Sr., her first husband (Order Book 4, page 728).3
