Family 1: Bridget (b. 1604, d. before 1657)
Birth | 1605 | In England. WikiTree has a specific date and place, but I don't know the evidence for it: Born 4 Nov 1605 in Hempstead, Gloucestershire, England

Marriage | 8 June 1657 | In Hungars Parish, Accomac County, Virginia, British America. His wife's name is Anne (but note she is not the mother of our ancestor Enoch). In Enoch's Early Colonial Settlers page is this:
Francis Doughty, Sr., minister of Rappahannock in Virginia, and Anne Doughty, his wife assign rights in above to Gils Tomkinson in the parish or hamlet of Pickeawanon in Charles County; 9 Feb 1662; /s/ Fr. Doughty, Anne Doughty; wit. John Washington, John Crow (mark); signed in the presence of Francis Doughty, Jr., Hugh Oneall (mark); acknowledged in open court by Mr. Enoch Doughty and Mr. Fr. From WikiTree: After many years of research on the Doughty family, I can state with some conviction that Bridget, the wife of Francis Doughty, was not a Stone; there is no known record of her baptism or birth, no record for her marriage to Francis, no record of her death. That she was his wife is proven by a couple of court records in 1640 that speak of Francis and Bridget Doughty being sued by his sister Elizabeth (Doughty) Cole. Those records follow:1 |

Misc | | Parents probably not Roger Daniel. Hugh and Mary had only one child[6][7], a son William, born about 1661. There is no indication in primary records that they had any other children. Some compilers try to assign Hugh as the son of Roger Daniell of Warwick County, VA, but there is no primary record evidence or reasoned argument to support this assignment. Hugh apparently came, on his own account, to Virginia in 1653 and is unrelated to other Virginia Daniel families.2 |
