Misc | | Earl of Wigton (or Wigdon)? A comment online:
My family descends from Col. Charles Fleming (d. 1720) of New Kent Co. Va. He married Susannah Tarlton. While not confirmed 100% (genealogists have to honest!)...most researchers agree that this line is in descent from the Earls of Wigton of Scotland. Several of this line were Lord High Chamberlains of Scotland & one was a favorite of Mary, Queen of Scots. One of the famed-'Four Marys'-her ladies-in-waiting was Mary Fleming ("the Fair Mary") of this line. Col. Charles' grandson Tarlton Fleming married Mary Randolph whose great grandparents were Col. William Randolph & his wife Mary Isham who are called: "The Adam & Eve of Virginia". Many of the most prominent founding fathers & mothers connect to them. Their lines connect back to & beyond Charlemagne. The Fleming home was at Rock Castle, Goochland Co. Va. The Randolphs & Flemings intermarried several times.
Does anyone have any new information on the Fleming/Wigton connection?
I have been a researcher for 40 years & have extensive files on these lines. For more information go to my website: pixleyblair.tribalpages.com/ or go to TribalPages.com & type in pixleyblair Thanks

WikiTree calls her parents unknown.
It looks to me like Ware Family History by Digidio does not know who Frances Ware's parents are. Peter or Nicholas? https://www.warefamilyhistory.com/ware-lineage.html
I can't tell from the pages I can see here: https://www.google.com/books/edition/Ware_Family_History/
_______ The trees give her parents as Peter Ware (1637-1699) and Jane Valentine (1622-1710)but they seem to have lived at last most of their lives in New Kent County. Yet we are told Frances was born in Henrico County. I see no real evidence of these parents.
Also suspicious is that Peter Ware is said to be descended from important English people... (but often listed as being from Northern Ireland). https://www.warefamilyhistory.com/index.html
On the other hand, Matthew Branch was a "gentleman" so this would be a suitable marriage.
On the other hand, this is explicitly listed on this website: 6. Frances Ware (ca. 1680-c1726) m. Matthew Branch, Sr. (c1675 Henrico Co., VA-15 Dec 1722/4Jul 1726 Henrico Co., VA), son of Thomas Branch and Elizabeth (Dealey ?) Gouch of Henrico Co. Matthew received 50 acres of land in Henrico County in October 1696, paid taxes on 947 acres of land in 1704, and bought 450 acres of land from John Tulit in March 1710.
Although that is curious because that is the only female named and there is no evidence.
"Peter Ware of York Co., VA was said to be the son of Sir James Ware of Ireland, a son of Sir Christopher Ware of Yorkshire, England, from the book: Wilder and some connecting (especially some Ware) families, 1960, by William Wilder. DNA has proven this to be incorrect. Peter Ware descended from Ralph de Gaël, de Waer, and is now Peter Ware III upon learning the names of his father and grandfather as Peter Ware I and Peter Ware II. Grandma's Book, By Eron M. Sharp, 1960, and the Ware-Tucker-Turnbull family Bible record, 1709-1930, VA State Library, shows Nicholas Ware I, II and III and actually Nicholas Ware I (b. c1642-1713/1723) m. Jenny Garrett, and Nicholas Ware II (c1686-1744)." https://www.warefamilyhistory.com/index.html
