Unknown Childers

F, #3929, b. about 1803, d. before 1847
We have no information about the wife of John Ratliff (1805-1847) except very large numbers of DNA matches with the Childers and Jeffries familes. Also, John's (assumed) brother Richard married a Childers.

The court order is May 19, 1851. We believe his wife was dead before his death in 1847. And this might be more evidence of that. OR the statement is "known to beliving" is another possibility...

"he died on the 25th day of April 1838 that he left a Widow named Sarah Childress who deceased the 10th day of August 1843 and that the said Pleasant and Sarah Childress left seven children now known to be living whose names are as follows Lucy, Elizabeth, Sally, Jesse, Nathaniel, Pleasant and Flemmon Childress". ."
