Johann Michael Klamm

M, #279, b. 12 March 1780, d. 23 November 1844
Who is John William Klamm b 1871 that is on findagrave as a child of John Klamm born 1821?

There is a birth record for a Johann Philipp Klamm in Germany but no date, no image. This could be the one we call John Sr. or another child... The Phlipp child may be bogus.

BURNS FROM A STOVE FATAL
Mrs. Philip Klamm was 2nd death in house of misfortune.
Burns she received this morning when her clothing caught fire from an oil stove caused the death early this afternoon of Mrs. Phillip Klamm, wife of a wealthy pioneer farmer, north of Parkville, MO. Mrs. Klamm died at the home of her son-in-law, Albert J. Brenner, at Brenner Station, on the St. Joseph Interurban line. She had been called there by illness.
Mrs. Klamm was carrying the stove downstairs preparatory to getting breakfast. The flames flared up and enveloped her. Her entire body was burned. Dr. Moses T. Runnels, 219 Argyle Building, who attended her, said she also inhaled flames.
Mrs. Klamm was about 70 years old. She was at the Brenner home caring for twins born to her daughter February 2. It has been a house of misfortune since Mrs. Brenner died February 13. Now the four children, older than the twins, have scarlet fever.2

COX (contributor 46518980)., Tombstone has Peter Groh and Catherine wife of Peter Groh. The photo on findagrave is very difficult to read. I can read that Catherine died Sept 23, 1885. It has how old she was but I can't read it. The record has his wife as Bertha McPherson who married him after he died... She is probably the wife of his son Charles if you look at her findagrave entry. He married Anna Catherine Bollinger 1829-1885.

Death1843At age ~11 in Germany. I see no evidence for this date or place but widely used. He is not on the ship's record for the family, which arrived in New Orleans 27 Jun 1843. Some people point to an immigration record for the family of Michael Groh with a Valentin, but this would not be our Valentin.
